MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won a Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN for his debut full-length album. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. He then became part of Ozuna to record their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. In the following year, Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. In 2021, he also performed the duet for TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & his older brother are musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. While a youngster, he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian However, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he realized his talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
